Jakarta, Feb. 19 -- President Prabowo Subianto told US business leaders that Indonesia offers a stable investment climate, citing economic and political stability, rule of law, and government commitment to fighting corruption and cartels.

He spoke to members of the US Chamber of Commerce, US-ASEAN Business Council, and US-Indonesia Society at a business summit in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday afternoon.

"No one will invest in uncertainty. Indonesia has remained stable for a long time. We maintain an independent, active foreign policy and respect all major powers," Prabowo said.

He emphasized his principle: "A thousand friends are too few, one enemy is too many," applying it to both foreign relations and domestic politics.
