Jakarta, Feb. 15 -- President Prabowo Subianto, who is also leader of the Gerindra Party, has asked that he not be nominated for the 2029 Presidential Elections if the programs initiated by his government prove unsuccessful.

"You asked me to run again in 2029, but I said, if my programs are not successful, there is no need for you to nominate me," he said in his speech at the 17th anniversary commemoration of the Gerindra Party in Sentul, Bogor, West Java, on Saturday.

He emphasized that his childhood dream has been to see Indonesia become a great country.
