Jakarta, Nov. 24 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has asked the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) to provide support for domestic industrial technology innovation.

The directive was conveyed by BRIN Head Arif Satria after a meeting with President Prabowo at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Monday.

"The President instructed that BRIN should provide its support to several strategic industries," he said.

According to him, there are several strategic industries that require research and development support to maintain productivity, competitiveness, and sustainability, so they can continue to absorb labor.
