Jakarta, July 10 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has voiced his support for Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's call to reform the United Nations, advocating for greater representation of emerging countries on the global stage.
"Regarding international governance reform, we support your proposal for UN reform to amplify the voices of other major new players globally," Prabowo said during a joint press conference with Lula at the Palacio do Planalto - the Brazilian presidential palace in Brasilia - on Wednesday.
Prabowo described Brazil as a major nation with a strong economy and emphasized that it deserves a more prominent and responsible role in global affairs.
