Jakarta, May 25 -- The Indonesian and Chinese governments signed four Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) on economic cooperation, witnessed directly by President Prabowo Subianto and Premier Li Qiang, at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Sunday.
The first MoU, between Bank Indonesia and the People's Bank of China, establishes a framework for cooperation to encourage bilateral transactions in local currencies.
The signing was carried out by Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo and People's Bank of China Governor Pan Gongsheng.
The second MoU involves the National Economic Council (DEN) and China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), focusing on cooperation in economic development policies.
