Jakarta, March 13 -- National Police (Polri) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has promised severe ethical and criminal penalties on AKBP Fajar Sumaatmaja, the East Nusa Tenggara Ngada Resort Police head, implicated in pedophilia and drug abuse.

"In essence, we will take strong actions in response to this case, including pursuing sanctions for both criminal and ethical offenses," he told the media after attending an event at the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education in Jakarta on Thursday.

When further questioned about Polri's stance on the criminal allegations against the non-active local police head, General Prabowo stated that his team would release additional press statements today.
