Jakarta, Nov. 18 -- The Indonesian National Police (Polri) is preparing 350 trained and experienced Mobile Brigade (Brimob) personnel for assignments as United Nations (UN) peacekeepers, including in Gaza, Palestine.
Prior to deployment, the Commander of Brimob Corps, Commander General Ramdani Hidayat, said the personnel would undergo training covering civilian protection, humanitarian response, rules of engagement discipline, and adaptability to international dynamics.
"The number of these troops can be adjusted up or down according to the country's needs. Polri remains flexible and responsive to developments in the global situation," Hidayat stated in a statement here on Tuesday.
