Jakarta, March 4 -- The Indonesian National Police (Polri) expressed its readiness to collaborate with the Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA) Ministry to address cases of violence involving women and children.

Head of Polri's Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) Commissioner General Wahyu Widada expressed this commitment after signing a memorandum of understanding with the ministry on Tuesday, according to the police's statement cited here.

He said that through this cooperation, Polri aims to bolster its performance in dealing with violence cases and create a safer environment for women and children in the country.
