Jakarta, Feb. 14 -- The National Police (Polri) and the Ministry of Immigration and Correction are working together to address the issue of drug trafficking within prisons.
This collaboration was established during a meeting between Chief of National Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Minister of Immigration and Correction, Agus Andrianto, at the Police Headquarters here on Friday.
"The raids we carry out require support from the police force due to our limited personnel," Minister Andrianto noted.
He noted that data indicates approximately 313 inmates have been moved to the Nusakambangan Maximum Security Unit over suspicions of their involvement in drug trafficking from behind bars.
