Badung, Bali, Feb. 11 -- Deputy Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Lodewijk Freidrich Paulus stated that the government adheres to the benchmark of Rp1,000 per vote per year for political party funding despite parties requesting an increase.

"From discussions with party representatives, they say the amount is still insufficient, but for now, we maintain the Rp1,000 per vote per year benchmark," he said here on Wednesday.

He noted that while funding in other countries may be higher, any adjustment must come from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), and the ministry is waiting for updated recommendations if the current figure becomes outdated.
