Jakarta, June 30 -- The Indonesian National Police ( Polri ) is planning to induct police robots to enhance performance and efficiency as part of its institutional modernization efforts.

"The presence of various robots, including dog-shaped and humanoid ones, reflects the modernization of Polri ," head of the Polri's public relations division, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, told the media in Jakarta on Monday.

He made the remarks following a preparatory activity fo r Polri's 79th anniversary event on July 1, 2025, which involved and showcased 25 police robots, including humanoid robots, tank robots, and robot dogs, as well as agricultural drones.
