Jakarta, Nov. 14 -- Poland's Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Wladyslaw T. Bartoszewski said Warsaw hopes to deepen cooperation with Indonesia as both countries marked 70 years of diplomatic relations during a ceremony in Jakarta on Thursday.

He said Poland considers Indonesia a key partner in Southeast Asia and a long-standing friend with shared aspirations, adding that Warsaw expects the relationship to continue delivering benefits for both nations.

The event also commemorated Poland's Independence Day, which falls on Nov. 11.
