Surabaya, June 30 -- State-owned electric company PT PLN (Persero) East Java Main Distribution Unit (UID) operates Solar Power Plants (PLTS) in seven areas across the Madura Islands.

The PLTS facilities are located on Bulumanuk Island, Talango Tengah Island, Kalosot Island, Saseel Island, Talango Air Island, Saredeng Besar Island in Sepanjang Village, and Karamian Island in Karamian Village.

"With the operation of electricity in this archipelago region, the Electrification Ratio (RE) and the Electrified Village Ratio (RDB) in East Java have also increased," General Manager of PLN UID East Java Ahmad Mustaqir stated in Surabaya on Monday.
