Kudus, Central Java, July 15 -- State-owned electricity company PT PLN is conducting a study on the development of a solar power plant (PLTS) equipped with a battery-based energy storage system on Karimunjawa Island in Karimunjawa Sub-district, Jepara District, Central Java.

"This is an effort to support clean energy transition and improve the reliability of electricity supply in the archipelago," Manager of PLN's Kudus Customer Service Unit in Kudus, Firman Sadikin, stated on Monday.
