Jakarta, Dec. 8 -- Indonesia's Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia said a decision on whether state-owned oil company Pertamina and Russia's Rosneft will move forward with the Tuban Refinery project is expected by mid-December 2025.

"A decision will be made in the middle of the month. Rosneft is currently in discussions with Pertamina," Lahadalia told reporters in Jakarta on Monday.

Pertamina and Rosneft are in the Final Investment Decision (FID) stage, which will determine whether the multi-billion-dollar refinery project in East Java proceeds as planned or if alternative strategies will be considered.
