Jakarta, Sept. 9 -- Head of the National Library (Perpusnas) E. Aminudin Aziz highlighted the importance of library transformation to ensure libraries' relevancy amid the developments of artificial intelligence (AI).

"We need capabilities and anticipatory measures to face the rapid changes in AI technology," he said in an official statement here on Tuesday.

According to him, the complexity of literacy skills will continue to develop in accordance with the changing times. To this end, libraries must adapt to ensure they are not viewed merely as places to store books.
