Jakarta, July 23 -- The House of Representatives (DPR) will summon officials from the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) to report on the progress of preparations for relocating the government seat to the future capital, which is being developed in East Kalimantan.
According to the chairperson of DPR's Commission II, Rifqinizamy Karsayuda, the hearing is set to take place after the parliament's recess period, which will run from July 25 to August 15, 2025.
"We will summon the OIKN after the upcoming recess period with the objective of ensuring that Nusantara is well-prepared to become an active capital city," he told the media at the Parliamentary Complex in Jakarta on Wednesday.
