Jayapura, Papua, April 20 -- Acting Governor of Papua, Ramses Limbong, announced that the inauguration of the Ministry of Health's General Hospital in Jayapura, scheduled for June 2025, aims to improve healthcare access for the people of Papua.

The hospital will not only serve the local community but also function as a teaching hospital.

"It will be a teaching hospital for medical students from Cenderawasih University," he said here on Sunday.

Limbong expressed hope that the new hospital will significantly enhance access to quality healthcare, especially for residents in remote areas of Papua.
