Surabaya, East Java, June 14 -- PAL Indonesia entered into seven strategic partnerships covering platform development, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of weapon systems, submarine procurement, and more at the Indo Defence Expo and Forum 2025.
Wiyono Komodjojo, Marketing Director of the state-owned shipbuilder, said on Saturday that the agreements include a strategic tie-up with Turkish shipyard TAIS.
The partnership will focus on developing combatant and non-combatant ship platforms, with an offset scheme to be executed domestically, he noted.
PAL also signed a cooperation agreement with Bofors for MRO services on 40 mm and 57 mm caliber weapon systems.
