Jakarta, Aug. 21 -- Culture Minister Fadli Zon expressed hope that the 2025 Pacu Jalur Festival, held at Tepian Narosa in Central Kuantan, Riau, would serve as a powerful platform to promote Indonesia's cultural heritage.

"Our hope is that this festival will further raise awareness of Pacu Jalur, not only in Indonesia but also globally," Fadli said in a press statement from Jakarta on Thursday.

He emphasized that promoting culture is a constitutional mandate, as stated in Article 32, Paragraph 1 of the 1945 Constitution, which declares that the state is obligated to advance Indonesia's culture within global civilization.
