Jakarta, Feb. 9 -- The Ministry of Social Affairs has found that more than 54 million poor and vulnerable Indonesians are still not covered by the National Health Insurance Contribution Assistance Recipient Program, known as PBI JKN.
Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf said the finding emerged after an update using the National Socioeconomic Single Data, or DTSEN. Based on the 2025 DTSEN, more than 54 million people classified in deciles one to five have yet to receive PBI JKN coverage.
Yusuf made the statement during a meeting with the Indonesian House of Representatives in Jakarta on Monday, which was held to discuss improvements to the governance of the integrated social health insurance system.
