Jakarta, June 12 -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has revealed that to date, the immigration crackdown in the United States has affected 58 Indonesian citizens.
"The number of Indonesian citizens affected by the new US immigration policy implemented since the beginning of this year has reached 58 people," the ministry's director for the protection of Indonesian citizens, Judha Nugraha, said during a media briefing on Thursday.
Of the 58 Indonesian nationals, six have been deported to Indonesia, he added.
Two of the six were arrested by the US authorities in an immigration sweep that has been ongoing since June 6, 2025, in Los Angeles, California.
