Jakarta, Dec. 3 -- The Jakarta police have deployed over 2,000 personnel to maintain security during the visit of Wang Huning, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

As head of China's political advisory body, Wang is among the country's highest-ranking officials, alongside President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, and National People's Congress Standing Committee Chairman Zhao Leji.

Jakarta police spokesperson Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto said on Wednesday that security measures would be carried out in an integrated manner to ensure the smooth execution of the diplomatic agenda scheduled for December 3-4.
