Jakarta, May 21 -- President Prabowo Subianto has expressed confidence that Indonesia can emerge as an energy supplier for countries across the world, given its significant potential and unexplored energy reserves.

Speaking at the 49th Indonesian Petroleum Association Convention and Exhibition (IPA Convex) in Tangerang, Banten, on Wednesday, he called for collaboration between the government, private parties, and state-owned enterprises (SOEs) to boost oil and gas production in the country.

"We are very optimistic that we will not only achieve energy self-sufficiency soon, but also supply energy to the world again," he said.
