Jakarta, March 28 -- Coordinating Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Agus Harimuri Yudhoyono, has expressed optimism that Indonesia's economy will grow well despite global challenges.

"We hope the economy can grow well and the competitiveness can be maintained so even when there is decline, it will not be significant," he said on the sidelines of a meeting with media leaders here on Friday.

According to the minister, the current dynamics of the global economy are full of challenges, and optimism is needed so that Indonesia can maintain growth.

"The economy is always dynamic, however, we must also build optimism. In terms of the economy, amid the current global situation, it is also not easy for Indonesia," he said.
