Jakarta, Nov. 22 -- Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo stated that the open unemployment rate (TPT) in Jakarta had decreased to 6.05 percent as of August 2025.

Pramono did not specify the decline percentage of the rate, but noted that trade, accommodation, food and beverage, as well as transportation sectors have become the largest absorbers of labor in the city.

"Positive growth in those sectors underscores Jakarta's role as a service-oriented city and a regional trade hub," he said in Jakarta on Friday.

According to the Governor, the decline on open unemployment rate was also supported by the series of job fairs regularly held in Jakarta. The Jakarta Provincial Government has even organized a dedicated job fair for persons with di...
