Jakarta, Feb. 10 -- Two vessels caught fire while fueling at an Ancol pier in North Jakarta on Saturday evening (8 Feb), killing a crew member and injuring five others, according to the Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency.

Technical errors might have caused the fire that broke out at around 10 p.m. local time during the fueling process, the agency stated.

Around 15 minutes after the fire was reported, the agency said nine fire trucks and a dozen firefighters were deployed to the accident site, and the blaze could have been extinguished at around 10:25 p.m. local time.

The metropolitan city of Jakarta has borne witness to several deadly and catastrophic fires in the past four years.
