Jakarta, Dec. 11 -- Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto has assured that Indonesia's accession to the OECD will not change Indonesia's stance toward Israel.

At a press conference in Jakarta on Thursday, Hartarto stated that Indonesia's position regarding Israel remains the same as conveyed by President Prabowo Subianto in his speech at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

In his speech, President Prabowo emphasized that Indonesia would recognize Israel as a state only if Israel recognized Palestine as an independent and sovereign state.
