Mataram, Aug. 8 -- Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB) Governor Lalu Muhamad Iqbal met with Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi to discuss the opening of new inter-provincial sea ferry routes, particularly between NTB and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

Head of the NTB's Communication, Informatics, and Statistics Office, Yusron Hadi, informed that the meeting took place in Jakarta on Thursday and aimed to push for the development of new maritime connections between the provinces.

"We know the government is strengthening sea transport and ferry routes to boost the flow of goods and people between islands, which will significantly impact economic growth in the regions," he said in Mataram on Friday.
