Indonesia, June 26 -- Following the death of Brazilian climber Juliana Marins while hiking on Mount Rinjani, the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) provincial government has decided to evaluate the climbing route and regulations to prevent future accidents.
"We have conveyed to the victim's family that we will work on improving the regulations concerning the climbing procedures for both international and domestic tourists," Deputy Governor Indah Dhamayanti said during a press conference here on Thursday.
The local government also plans to issue a regulation to reduce the risk of accidents by coordinating with the relevant stakeholders.
