Medan, Dec. 12 -- The North Sumatra Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration deported 255 foreign nationals in the region for violating immigration regulations between January and November 2025.
"The deportations are part of immigration's responsibility to maintain security and order through the supervision of foreigners," said Teodorus Simarmata, Head of the North Sumatra Immigration, in Medan on Friday.
Simarmata said that of the 255 foreign nationals, the majority were from Bangladesh, which is 80 people, Malaysia, with 38 people, and China, with 11 people.
