Jakarta, July 6 -- The Ministry of Environment said it will monitor waste management in North Jakarta in the coming period and has invited stakeholders, including producers, to support the effort.
"All of North Jakarta is now under the supervision of the Governor (of Jakarta) and the Minister in order to resolve its waste management issues as quickly as possible," Minister of Environment Hanif Faisol Nurofiq said here on Sunday.
He made this statement when visiting the waste and wastewater facilities in a big mall in North Jakarta.
Nurofiq noted that North Jakarta has been designated as a pilot project for good waste management, not only for Jakarta City but also as a model for other regions across Indonesia.
