Jakarta, Nov. 9 -- The number of victims of the explosion at State Senior High School (SMAN) 72 in North Jakarta on Friday (November 7) has risen to 96, the Jakarta Metropolitan Police has announced.

According to Jakarta Metropolitan Police's Public Relations Bureau head, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, the latest tally was based on the newest data obtained by his side and had been announced earlier by Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

"The number of victims we announced during yesterday's doorstop was at 54, but the data remains dynamic. The latest data indicated the victim count now stands at 96 people," Hermanto stated at a press conference on Saturday.
