Jakarta, June 28 -- Environment Minister Hanif Faisol Nurofiq called on the North Jakarta Government to expedite the implementation of its waste management roadmap to address the area's waste challenges.

Speaking on Saturday, the minister said his side had received updates since North Jakarta was designated as a pilot project for national waste management.

"Earlier, we requested information on waste management progress in North Jakarta. They have made some advances, such as a detailed roadmap. However, I am asking for the implementation timeline to be accelerated," Nurofiq stated.
