Jakarta, July 1 -- Statistics Indonesia (BPS) reported that Indonesia's export value in May 2025 reached US$24.61 billion, driven primarily by non-oil and gas commodities such as animal and vegetable fats and oils.

Deputy for Distribution and Services Statistics at BPS, Pudji Ismartini, stated in Jakarta on Tuesday that oil and gas exports amounted to US$1.11 billion, declining by 21.71 percent, while non-oil and gas exports increased by 11.89 percent to US$23.50 billion.

"The year-on-year increase in export value in May 2025 was mainly driven by an increase in the value of non-oil and gas exports, namely in animal or vegetable fats and oils, which increased by 63.01 percent, with a contribution of 4.50 percent," she remarked.
