Jakarta, March 26 -- Indonesia has not received any official request for stationing its peacekeeping troops along the Russia-Ukraine border under the auspices of the United Nations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has clarified.

"We have not received any official request from any party asking for the presence of Indonesian peacekeeping troops on the border of Russia and Ukraine," the ministry's spokesperson, Rolliansyah Soemirat, said in a written statement received in Jakarta on Wednesday.

He made the statement in response to reports about a proposal suggesting that Indonesia contribute to a UN peacekeeping mission to maintain security along the border, if Russia and Ukraine reach a ceasefire agreement.
