Jakarta, Oct. 15 -- Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has assured the public that current weather conditions in the capital remain within normal parameters and do not pose a cause for concern.
"As of today, Jakarta is not experiencing extreme heat as reported. The weather is still within normal levels," he said during a press briefing at Jakarta City Hall on Wednesday.
Responding to reports of rising temperatures in several regions of Indonesia, Pramono said he immediately coordinated with the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), which confirmed that moderate rainfall is expected in Jakarta over the next few days.
