Jakarta, March 21 -- Indonesia's National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) has confirmed that there were no casualties from the large-scale eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki in East Flores, East Nusa Tenggara, on Thursday night.
There were no fatalities in the recent eruption because the 4,000 evacuees had not returned to their homes since the previous eruption last November, BNPB chief Suharyanto said on Friday.
"During the eruption last night until the early hours of this morning, there was one injury, but that person was in a plantation," he said after a ministerial meeting to discuss the post-eruption management of Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki.
