Jakarta, June 20 -- Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Abdul Mu'ti, emphasized the importance of regional collaboration to address the problem of Out-of-School Children and Youth (OOSCY) in vulnerable border areas at the ASEAN Education Ministers' Roundtable.
"Indonesia has taken concrete steps to address OOSCY as a vital part of achieving inclusive and quality education for all," Mu'ti said in a written statement released here on Friday.
At the meeting, he urged regional stakeholders to work together to tackle the complex challenge of the OOSCY in ASEAN.
He underlined the need for all stakeholders to observe the conditions in their own regions and seek smart solutions that align with local contexts.
