Jakarta, May 2 -- Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu'ti emphasized that children from underprivileged families should not drop out of school, as his side is currently organizing primary and secondary education.
The minister delivered this message in his address as part of the commemoration of National Education Day on May 2.
"Do not think there is no money to study. The government will strive to help," he stated at the Leuwibatu 02-03 Elementary School in Bogor, West Java, on Friday.
He noted that one of the forms of government assistance that underprivileged communities can utilize is the Smart Indonesia Program (PIP) funding assistance.
