Indonesia, April 7 -- The Indonesian Search and Rescue (INASAR) team's contribution to the disaster response operation in Myanmar following the 7.7-magnitude quake in March 2025 has been commended by the Myanmar authorities.
"Your tireless hard work resulted in the rescue of 8 survivors and the recovery of 172 bodies," Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief, and Resettlement, Dr. Soe Win, said while highlighting the outcome of the Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team's work in Myanmar.
The USAR team comprised personnel from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Vietnam.
