Indonesia, July 7 -- Mount Lewotobi Laki-laki in East Flores District, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), erupted, sending a volcanic ash column as high as 18 thousand meters above its summit.
"There was an eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki-laki, East Nusa Tenggara, on July 7, 2025, at 11:05 local time, with the ash column observed reaching approximately 18 thousand meters above the peak," Fajarudin M. Balido, an officer from the Mount Lewotobi Laki-laki monitoring post, stated on Monday.
Balido reported that the ash column appeared gray to black, with thick intensity, drifting toward the North, Northeast, and Northwest.
