Jakarta, Jan. 27 -- PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) has partnered with seven private developers for the construction of the East-West Phase 2 line, which will connect Kembangan in West Jakarta to Balaraja in Tangerang District, Banten.

"A memorandum of understanding (MoU) will be signed with the seven developers," said PT MRT Jakarta President Director Tuhiyat at the MRT Journalists Forum event in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Tuhiyat explained that the agreement represents an initial step for exploration and assessment, marking the developers' contribution to the project along the route.
