Jakarta, Nov. 13 -- Deputy Speaker of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Lestari Moerdijat expressed support for teacher redistribution to realize equal distribution of teachers and to improve education quality in the country.

"Redistributing teachers in the country is a strategic measure to accelerate the improvement of national education quality," she said in her statement here on Thursday.

Based on the records of the Indonesian Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, for the 2024-2025 academic year, the number of teachers across Indonesia reached 4.21 million.
