Jakarta, Feb. 1 -- Deputy Speaker of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), Lestari Moerdijat, stated here on Saturday that the government must guarantee the rights and protection of individuals with disabilities.

The deputy speaker emphasized that it is essential for people with disabilities to enjoy the same rights and protection as everyone else in society.

Moerdijat stressed that the government can achieve this by integrating a disability-inclusive approach into its governance practices.
