Jakarta, March 2 -- Deputy Speaker of Indonesia's People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Eddy Soeparno has expressed support for President Prabowo Subianto's commitment to eradicating corruption, including the alleged crude oil management corruption within the state-owned oil and gas company, Pertamina.

"This Pertamina case is not only suspected of causing financial losses to the state but could also impact the general public if it is proven that consumers have been buying adulterated fuel," he said in a statement issued on Sunday.

Earlier, President Prabowo assured that law enforcement efforts would be carried out against corruption in crude oil and refinery product management within Pertamina.
