Indonesia, Aug. 2 -- Mount Lewotobi Laki-laki, located in East Flores District, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province, erupted again in the early hours of Saturday.
According to a statement from the Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG) under the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), the eruption occurred at 1:05 a.m. Central Indonesian Time (WITA).
The volcanic ash column reached approximately 18,000 meters (18 km) above sea level. The ash appeared gray to black, with thick intensity, drifting toward the southwest, west, and northwest.
