Jakarta, June 17 -- Communication and Digital Minister Meutya Hafid stated that the monitoring hall (Balmon) in Makassar serves as the backbone of national communication, ensuring stability of frequencies, from cellular signals to aviation navigation, operating round the clock.

"They are the backbone of national communication. I am here in person to express my appreciation because their work is rarely seen, but the results are felt every day," Hafid noted in an official statement received in Jakarta on Tuesday.
