Jayapura, Papua, Sept. 21 -- The body of Nasir Daeng Mappa, reported missing during unrest in Elelim, Yalimo District, Highland Papua, was found with multiple arrow wounds, police confirmed on Sunday.

Nasir, the father of Dafa, one of several victims, was discovered behind Paesa Camp in Benawa on September 20, Papua Police spokesperson Senior Commissioner Cahyo Sukarnito said.

"The victim's body was covered with arrows," Sukarnito stated from Jayapura, Papua's capital.

Nasir was reported missing on September 16 after his children were found injured near Paesa Camp. His car had been set on fire, and he reportedly fled the attack with his children, Dafa and Atifa.
