Jakarta, July 2 -- Women Empowerment And Child Protection Ministry expressed concern over 13,845 cases of violence towards women and children recorded until June 2025.

Some of these cases involved perpetrators who were parents or family members of the victims.

In a statement received on Wednesday, Minister Arifatul Choiri Fauzi said the figure was based on data from the Online Women and Children Information System (Simfoni PPA), covering the period from January to June 28, 2025.

She highlighted that most cases involved sexual violence.
